Q: Who is Kingsbury Network Consulting?
My name is Dan Kingsbury. I am the sole proprietor of Kingsbury Network Consulting. I am a certified Network Engineer with over 20 years of experience in the IT industry and 7 years working for a national Internet service provider. I am currently the director of network infrastructure for a local higher ed institution. I graduated from Alfred State University in western NY with a Bachelor's in Network Administration after having received an Associate's in Information Technology from Monroe Community College.
Q: Why do you do this work?
My life-long passion has always involved computer networking. I graduated high school from Edison Technical Institute right here in Rochester where I majored in the Cisco Networking Academy; at the time the only program of its kind in the area. I thoroughly enjoy this work. While I maintain a full-time position with a university as their Director of Network Infrastructure, I am always looking for ways to help my community by providing my expertise.
Q: What do you like most about this work?
Not only do I have a passion for networking, but I also enjoy educating others who seek to further understand what can often seem a daunting subject matter. I seek to educate and inform anyone I work with to make them better support personnel and better users. It's important for me to know that those that seek my support learn how to best utilize the tools and resources they use to make themselves more independent technological users.
Q: What's special about you?
I was born and raised in Rochester, NY. I love this area and always have. I want to provide support to this community that I have come to know and love. In a day where small businesses are dying, I hope to be one that you can know and trust. The business also received BBB accreditation in 2024!
